Sonic the Hedgehog meets Progressive Flo; Squicky Fan-Art to Follow

via Kotaku

Sega has lent out their maybe-not-"over"-anymore mascot to appear in commercials for Progressive Insurance opposite the company's own memetic spokesperson, Flo...

It's kind of cute until you realize the horrors it's going to spawn over in DeviantArt...

You talk about Nostalgia Bob?
THIS is nostalgia. Haven't seen Sonic in an Ad for anything in years. Glad to see SEGA has enough faith in their recovering mascot to do this.

So..why does Sonic need car insurance?

@Delvo Oh, my God. SONIC DRIFT 3. It's happening! Alert the masses!

Love the choice of retro music; SONIC 3 had some killer tracks. And honestly, the sense of humour isn't that obnoxious. It all could have been a lot worse.

Maybe we may see a Progressive Commercial featuring Optimus Prime or Rainbow Dash

@Dominic

Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing happened in 2010. As it happened it was a very good game. Yeah it was a Mario Kart clone, but it was at least better than MKWii.

Bullshit about Sonic not needing a car can be defeated by "Game logic".
Technically Sonic should totally destroy any and everyone at any running event in the Mario and Sonic series, but he doesn't for the sake of gameplay balance.

Sonic had a car in All Stars Racing because it wouldn't be fair to the other racers for him to be on foot, obviously.

As for Mario and Sonic at the Olympics . . . idunno, that makes no sense at all.

lol, I liked that commercial! :D

Although, it's weird to think that Sonic sees humans differently than reality...

Also, I like the use of Sonic 3's music.

@Smashmatt202 That's why all the humans in Adventure, 06 and Unleashed look like they do, I suppose. As for Eggman, he's probably actually like that.
