Below, the trailer for the downloadable XBLA/PSN title "War of The Worlds" - which adapts H.G. Wells' original version of the story into the format of a 2D sidescoller leaning heavily on the "alien lights in pitch-darkness" visual scheme. Yes, please.

Is that... Sir Patrick Stewart's voice?!
if it is expect him dead within five minutes. Oh wait, that's Oblivion
oooooooo they're using the tricolor design from the technicolor War of the Worlds, and that looks freakin' awesome! Best adaptation of the book since the radio drama and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comic :-D
Definitely looks interesting. 0-0
Holy smoke! That looks great!
As a huge fan of the original novel...this intrigues me. I'm not sure whether I support it or not. It definitely looks like a fun game, but the majority of the book involves descriptions of the martian atrocities and the narrator hiding out and hoping it will all pass (and that's AFTER the huge build-up that leads to the invasion).
So...yeah.

This game looks to be basically Limbo but with aliens and robots; so Limbo but even more awesome.
Had Orson Welles narrated it, society would have thought the invasion was real. (True story)
I love the visual style of the game, but it looks like it would be hard to see whats going on. I wasn't really able to catch what exactly you do in the game from the trailer.
It seems like a coll idea at the very least.
A game that, from the look of the animation, plays like Flashback. With Patrick Stewart. With aliens.
Nerd boner.
Sir Patrick Stewart needs to keep doing video games. He's absolutely fantastic.
