"Don't worry - you will still be able to watch the show if you don't sign up, though eventually it might be a few days after subscribers do."

It seems "eventually" is presently, and "a few days" is an entire week. Not blaming you Bob, it sounds like a good opportunity for you. I wish there were a way to give you payment directly for the privilege of viewing the content early, though. However, I'm sure you've contracted with screwattack by now, which would make that an impossibility.

I'm sure the video is fantastic as always. I'm excited to view it next week, as I can't bring myself to give those snarky dickholes at screwattack money that would be entirely to pay to see your content.

No, I'm kinda pissed actually. Not only do we have to wait for your, totally justified, production time as usual, we have an extra week to wait tacked on for absolutely no reason other than Screw Attack holding it hostage. This makes me a very very sad panda.

I've been watching Bob's Game Overthinker show since episode six, when he was still exclusively a YouTube thing. I've watched all his reviews of movies and his current YouTube comedy show. I've been silent all this time, a good couple of years. I find the shows informative and funny and even if I do disagree sometimes I know at very least Bob is sincere in what he is speaking about.

I've been a follower of Screwattack since the days when Handsome Tom was still there, and they hadn't even contracted the AVGN yet, I saw Jose, 8-bit Mickey, and all the others join. Then I saw some leave. When Handsome Tom left due to 'it not being a partnership' as Stuttering Craig put it, I didn't really know what that meant. I was still young at the time, you see.

Which is why I'm so....disappointed to find out where Stuttering Craig has finally taken Screwattack. It was inevitable to a point, I suppose. I'd hoped they would stick to making their money through merchandise and adds but I guess in today's economy that's just not possible, or someone feels the need to line their pockets even more. The quality of the site dropped like a stone when Handsome Tom left, taking other members with him. Because of this I can't justify paying $40 a year just to view one single show that I happen to really enjoy. One twentyish minute show mind you, I won't even pay fourty dollars for a video game anymore. As Brandon said I'd be more inclined to donate to Bob himself rather than give them money. They are running what was once a good site into the ground and all the better for it in my opinion. It's more convenient when all someones videos are in one spot, so heres hoping The Game Overthinker will move to the escapist or something.

This whole thing has sort of soured my pallet for these shows in general however and I'm sorry to say you've lost a long time viewer, at least for a while.

@Janos

I feel betrayed, and ripped off, he was giving us free entertainment for months, and now we have to wait a WHOLE WEEK, before we can view his videos for free.

Wait, that sounds like a spoiled brat. Whats with all this false sense of entitlement?

I never liked screw attack myself. They created the the A-typical "hardcore gamers" douche-bags. If I wanted to say what was wrong with the way gamers act, I just had to watch a few of their videos, but that is not Bob's fault.

but yeah, its sucks that you would have to pay to watch Bob's videos now. Except you don't if you can wait a week...

I am not here to defend screw attacks advantaged model, really it is best if you already like the site and want to see other content as well as TGO. if you use Screw attack ONLY for TGO then yeah it is a waste.

that said I really wish people would stop griping about 7 whole freaking days wait time to watch a video. this is no different then RvB Subscribers getting videos early.

Just a minor point but has anyone unhappy with the current arrangement considered that after the initial lag, the show will effectively become weekly again, assuming all things being equal like production etc, just us freebies will be an ep. behind... or am I missing something where it says all entertainment on the internet should be free at point of entry, cause that's b/s

amen to that Charlie

I actually wouldn't mind the Advantage membership if they let me pay directly to them. But its more of a hassle to fund a paypal account that I'm only going to use for the membership, than it is to wait for the show.

Hell, who am I kidding, I'll probably end up doing it anyway. I just hope that we see more shows coming this way.

You know, I don't mind having to wait to view your new episodes. I just wish it weren't phrased as if Advantage viewers got to watch eps. early with the rest of us watching it at the normal time. Advantage viewers are watching it right after it is uploaded, with he rest of us waiting a week or so. If Advantage didn't exist, we'd all be watching it when it was uploaded.

Moviebob,

I'm sure you've heard of Felicia Day. Perhaps it's time to learn a few lessons from her in regards to how to use content and not piss off your audience. Link

Note: I'm not really worried about the advantage thing or not. I can wait an extra week, but it does get annoying that such a move is utilized in separating your audience arbitrarily. There could be a number of ways to have a better website, but this just doesn't help you nor SA have a much better following.
